The Buffalo Hunt....life size: The finished life-sized wax in the artist's studio

This life size sculpture depicts the dangerous struggle that was the buffalo hunt for the tribes of western plains. A mounted Indian hunter is leaping over a wounded cow as she crashes to the ground. As seen here, prior to aquiring guns, hunters had to get close to their target usually for multiple shots with bow and arrow.
