This bronze sculpture tells the story of an incident in 1874 that took place at Adobe Walls, near the Canadian River. Mountain man Billy Dixon and friends were confronted by a group of Cheyenne...a skirmish ensued. Dixon decided to take a shot from nearly a mile away and hit his target.
